Pinch-off and Pump-out Tubes and Tube Assemblies for Critical Applications

High integrity pinch-off and pump-out tubes have been provided for use in mission-critical applications for more than a decade. Thousands of tubes and tube assemblies have been shipped to laser and lithography equipment manufacturers, defense contractors, government agencies, and other defense and research organizations.

Tubes are processed according to well-developed procedures to assure the highest quality product is provided. Our processing assures that correct tubing wall grain sizes and interior wall cleanliness are attained for is assured. For brazed assemblies, we only use low vapor pressure and the highest grade filler metals to assure a clean and reliable seal is made every time.

Standard sizes pinch-off tubes and pump-out assemblies can be delivered within 10 working days (ARO) for quantities of 100 units, see below:

1. All dimensions are in inches.
2. Dimensions and tolerances:

a. Outside diameter: +/- 0.002"
b. Wall thickness: +/- 0.002", tube wall may be 0.035 rather than 0.032 in some instances
c. Length: +/- 0.020", tighter tolerances available upon request. For assemblies with brazed end connections the "length" specified is the copper tube length and not the overall assembly length.

3. Material is seamless OFE Copper (UNS C10100) per ASTM F68.B75
4. ID and OD at each end have edge break/deburr of 0.010" nominal
5. Processing: Tubes are high vacuum processed; hydrogen processing can be done upon request. Depending on application, high vacuum processing is particularly beneficial if the final application requires de-gassing or vacuum baking.
6. Pinch-off and pump-out tubes are packaged in low outgassing bags and back filled with dry nitrogen.

To specify a tube or tube assembly part number please make the following selections:

1. Tube diameter: Nominal diameter in 1/16" increments (size "2" is 1/8 inch nominal diameter)
2. Tube material: Copper (Cu) or Nickel (Ni)

1. Tube length to the accuracy desired.
2. Configuration for "End 1"
3. Configuration for "End 2"
