Carl P. Schalansky

Co-founded by Paul and Carl Schalansky, Vacuum Process Engineering began its business venture out of the humble beginnings of Paul and May Schalansky's home garage.

In 1988 Vacuum Process Engineering was incorporated and moved into a 1,500 square foot facility. As the company steadily grew over several years, it expanded to 9000 sq ft and required that other larger facilities be created. Today, VPE operates out of three facilities totaling 100,000 square feet. [view full bio]

Bill Kimball

Bill Kimball came to Vacuum Process Engineering in 1998 after being the CEO and Technical Director of an independent testing laboratory for 20 years. His customers included other testing laboratories and high tech companies where Bill applied his materials science experience in materials testing failure analysis.

Bill's first duties at Vacuum Process Engineering included, direction and project management of products and projects encompassing diffusion bonding, brazing and advanced thermal processing services where he was successful in significantly increasing product yields. His testing background made him the natural choice as our Quality Assurance Manager. He was one of the key influences in Vacuum Process Engineering obtaining ISO 2001:9000 quality certification. Aaron Wildberger

Aaron Wildberger began working for Vacuum Process Engineering in 1995. He has successfully helped companies transition from research and development to production in brazing and diffusion bonding of assemblies while adhering to industry standards and codes. Aaron carefully considers the materials, atmosphere, thermal environments and key characteristics while developing process requirements to meet service requirements. [view full bio]

Matt Timberlake

Matt began his career here at Vacuum Process Engineering in 2000. He has become an expert in the Diffusion Bonding process assisting customers in their design through design of experiments on materials that have not been commonly joined. He understands the relationship between material reaction, process requirements and tolerance needs for the successful diffusion bonding of materials. [view full bio]

Mikhail Kuffel

Vacuum Process Engineering hired Mikhail in 2005 to serve as a Project Engineer involved in process development, research & development, experimental design, and production/manufacturing. He has experience in various forms of diffusion bonding, vacuum brazing, PVD coating, and metallography. [view full bio]

Dang Nguyen

Vacuum Process Engineering hired Dang in 2004. As part of the engineering staff, he manages multiple projects ranging from single part to production assemblies. Tasks include scripting the project realization plan where scope of work, process flow, equipment, tooling, material and labor needs are defined for Diffusion Bonding, Brazing, Heat Treating processes and for the Assembly and Testing of product.
