Hydrogen Brazing

Hydrogen furnace brazing is used at VPE to fabricate ultra-clean high-integrity assemblies for electron accelerators, cyclotrons, sensor windows, production aerospace assemblies, and a host of other prototype and production brazements.

• Our well established experience with hydrogen brazed ceramic-to-metal assemblies assures the highest integrity assemblies for critical service. Helium leak tight specifications to 2E-10atmcc/sec are routinely met.
• Clean and bright surfaces free of oxidation and contaminants make hydrogen brazed assemblies immediately ready for further assembly or processing steps without additional operations or processing.
• Controlled dew point processing enables VPE to selectively oxidize and treat product for specialized applications
• Ceramic and refractory metal tooling and fixtures for consistent component fit-up and alignment.

• Vertical and horizontal loading furnaces
• Size up to 18 inches by 18" by 100 inches in length
• Temperatures to 2000° C
• Furnace and induction brazing in hydrogen environments
